Huacaya Alpacas

Necia has rose gray on both sides of her pedigree, an extremely sought after combination. She's carries a beautiful brown fleece of her own that will spin up into something special. Sonic Fox got his name because he's the offspring of well-known champion, Super Sonic. And because his dam, Calico, gave birth while the local Fox channel was at our farm filming. Our beautiful rose gray, Calico, had a textbook first birth and Fox arrived energetic and ready to romp. His coloring is best described as maroon and it is such a gorgeous color that we can't wait to see how it spins up. Shiny, soft and with hints of purple, this Super Sonic, .38 Special cross is a breeding worth repeating. Update: Fox has grown into an exceptionally handsome and friendly male. He's now ready to start his breeding career.

Enchanted Majesty is an exceptional animal that carries exceptional fleece. If you need fineness in your herd, Majesty is your man. Majesty is out of the exception breeding program at Snowmass Alpacas. His last histogram showed his average micron was 17 which is incredible. His EPD's show him in the top 5% micron and spin fineness. And what about that color?! A gorgeous caramel brown that would make the most wonderful yarn. Update: Majesty's first cria has arrived in Spring 2022! Silvia's Enchantment is a dark silver gray out of our own Metallica. So it's great news that Majesty allows gray genetics to pass!

If you want genetics that provide excellent substance of bone, amazing density and blanket weight, we have a sire ready to breed into your herd. When Navigator was shorn in 2018 we collect over 5 lbs just from the blanket and 2 lbs from his neck! He has fineness and density galore and amazing staple length. In fact, he's in the top 5% in fleece weight EPD's. So if you need to add these qualities to your herd, he's a great choice. Navigator travelled to a few shows in 2017 and 2018 and fared well even though he was up against incredibly tough competition from much larger and more well-established farms than us. We were extremely happy with his results against lots of other males in his class. Navigator's first crias arrived Spring of 2022 and are showing exactly what we hoped for from him--superior density and good substance of bone.

Jack Velvet hails from the exception breeding program at Snowmass Alpacas. His dam, Astonishing Charm carries lasting fineness and his sire, Velveteer is a stunner and 1st place winner at the 2015 Futurity Halter show. Jack's EPD's are in the top 5% in average fiber diameter, spin fineness and mean curvature. His fleece is also exceptionally bright. His histogram showed the microns of his fiber is at an amazing 16! All of this means gorgeous yarn for the spinning enthusiast. Update: Jack's first cria arrived Spring 2022! Our own Vintage Diamond gave birth to Velvet Topaz, a healthy 19 lb girl with exceptionally shiny, soft fleece.

What do you get when you cross 8x color champion SPA Alpacas Adirondack with 5x color champion A Paca Fun's Sedona? A really nice brown herdsire! A Paca Fun's Tucson is already an 9x color champion in brown, and he's not done with his show career. Tucson is just what we were aiming for with this pairing, showing the best aspects of both of his parents. He has solid, square conformation. His fleece is very uniform, both in micron and color. He has consistent crimp architecture from neck to tail. With gray lineage from his dam's side, Tucson would be an asset to both solid color and gray breeding programs. First crias due spring of 2014!

This Super Sonic daughter has excellent substance of bone and a beautiful alpaca conformation. Her fleece is super soft and dense with an incredible staple length. Make sure to look through the photos to see a screen shot showing her impressive wins on the show circuit. This maiden is now bred to our own Jack Velvet who, along with his brother, Enchanted Majesty has the softest adult fleece on our farm. She's sure to produce an alpaca with fine, shiny fiber.

Kaida, a .38 Special daughter comes from highly sought-after genetics. With rose gray and silver gray in her background she can also produce gray. In fact, her fall 2021 cria, Guns N Roses is a beautiful medium rose gray. Kaida births easily and is a devoted mother. Her own fleece is soft and has placed 2nd or 3rd in five different fleece contests. And we make sure it gets included in our own branded, high quality knitwear that is known for its softness and durability. Kaida comes with a breeding to one of our excellent herd sires.

Covert Affair has excellent gray genetics behind her and bred to a gray could produce some beautiful gray crias. Her most recent cria, Secret Service, (now 1 year old) was born at 21.5 pounds and was referred to by the judge at CABO as "Goliath". She can produce many more cria and is an excellent birther and mother. Covert Affair comes a breeding to any of our excellent herd sires.
